Learning Environment

On the national Stanford Achievement Tests, our elementary grade students consistently score in the top 20% - 30% of students in their grade level. These students average one to two grades above their own grade level in school.

Our successful learning environment is characterized by the following:

Staff members are born-again Christians and are dedicated to the nurturing of children in the Lord – children are shown God’s love and are in turn taught to show God’s love to others.
Teachers have advanced degrees.
Classes are small and are conducted in a traditional setting. We strive for a student/teacher ratio of 20:1 in the 1st-8th grade, with lower ratios in preschool and kindergarten.
Teachers follow the A Beka curriculum, nationally recognized as an advanced Christian academic curriculum.
Music, art, gym,chapel and field trips are part of the regular curriculum.
The school day begins with prayer, and pledges to the Bible, Christian flag, and American flag.
A variety of enrichment opportunities are available.
Pre-school, pre-kindergarten, half-day kindergarten, first through eighth grade classes are available.

The school is located across the street from the Ralph J. Stolle Countryside YMCA, the largest YMCA facility in the United States. It offers before and after school care, as well as a plethora of educational/enrichment activities for the entire family.
The dress code supports a non-distracting learning environment, with dress intended to exhibit respect for self and authority.
Parent involvement is encouraged and evident at every level of the organization.
Lebanon Christian School is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International which provides administrative and curriculum guidance and inspiration to thousands of Christian schools internationally. LCS staff members attend annual ACSI conferences.
The school facility was built in 1998 (addition in 2002) – it features carpeted classrooms and halls, a music room, an art room, a library, a gym, a cafeteria and a playground, all on several partially wooded acres.
