Enrichment Programs Print E-mail

altOur enrichment programs help children discover and develop niche God-given talents. Band, Choir, Girls basketball, Girls volleyball (5th-8th), Boys basketball, Videography, Life Skills, and much more. The LCS facility houses a library and computers, which are made available to the children per teachers’ schedules. Other special events occur throughout the year which also provide avenues for special skill development:

  • altCOSI on Wheels: a hands-on science workshop brought to LCS by the Columbus Center of Science and Industry. This event typically occurs in February.
  • Kindergarten Graduation: gives a boost of confidence to young graduates. Musical and other types of performances occur at this event.
  • School Programs: provide an opportunity for the LCS family to celebrate what God is doing in their children’s lives and the impact of a Christian education. Children have the opportunity to perform in various ways at these events: music, drama, etc.
  • Outreach Projects: teach children how to show God’s love to others. These vary year to year. Examples have included food drives and providing Christmas gifts to needy children. School programs and events are opened to the community when appropriate, allowing children to share a Christian message through their presentations.
  • Career Day: LCS parents or other guests share their professional lives with the children.

Academic Competitions

ACSI Spelling Bee
spelling_bee.jpg Lebanon Christian School is pleased to host and participate in the annual ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) District Elementary Spelling Bee.

Students compete against other students in their grade from schools within the Ohio River Valley Region of ACSI.

Approximately ten Christian schools are represented each year.  LCS students have always been among the winners at the district spelling bee.

“God has blessed our school with excellent teachers, students, and families,” said Richard Milligan, LCS Administrator. “I am so proud and thankful to be part of a school that helps kids achieve their full potential, to God’s glory."

ACSI Speech Meet
Lebanon Christian School also participates annually in the ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) District Speech Meet.  Elementary School students represent their classes as they do their best to recite and interpret Bible verses, poetry, fables and folklore, and patriotic speeches and documents.  LCS students frequently walk away from this competition with blue ribbons for "superior" performances.
