We base all teaching on a Christian worldview,
acknowledging the existence of God, and man, as His most precious
creation, having a soul that longs for a relationship with
Him. We recognize, as the Bible states, that all knowledge
and wisdom come from God.
Bible
is taught daily. Children have weekly verse memorization
quizzes.
The reading program incorporates Christian
ideas and teaches Christian behavior.
Our Christian staff teaches children to show
God’s love by modeling God’s love, and providing
verbal Biblical examples of God’s love.
We teach the children how to pray, and begin
each day with prayer and devotions.
School programs/events are an opportunity
for parents and the school to recognize what God is doing
in their children’s lives. We celebrate and worship
God at these events.
Outreach projects teach children how to show
God's love to others. These vary year to year. Examples
include LCS student participation in food drives and providing
Christmas gifts to needy children. School programs and events
are opened to the community when appropriate, allowing children
to share a Christian message through their presentations.
Chapel (weekly) is a special
time for discovering God’s love and for telling God
we love Him. We glorify and uplift the wonderful God who
created us. We worship God by singing praises to Him. We
pray, thanking Him for His goodness and asking Him for help.
We read His Holy Word, the Bible. We learn all we can about
God so that we can serve Him and be prepared to share His
love with others. Special Christian speakers or missionaries
are asked to share a message from time to time.
